Gaining time in the fight against the quagga mussel
Dübendorf, 8.4.2025 - To contain the spread of the invasive quagga mussel in Swiss lakes, Eawag researchers recommend swift action based on comprehensive prevention, early detection and containment. They also suggest coordinating the measures both within Switzerland and with neighbouring countries. This is the conclusion of a new report prepared by the aquatic research experts on behalf of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and the Swiss Expert Committee for Biosafety (SECB).
